Jordi Lucena — Shibari

Rope artist from Barcelona and manager of Rosas Cinco

Jordi Lucena Viadé is a shibari rope artist and performer based in Barcelona. Manager and owner of Rosas Cinco since 2016, he is the club’s fourth management after its founder, Kurt Walter Fisher (2002), and the tenures of Mikel and Mj.

Available for performances, workshops and collaborations — in Barcelona or wherever needed.

His shibari, in his own words

My shibari is defined by conveying sensuality through the ropes, using them as a means of communication between model and rigger, creating a style that is more personal and my own.

My way of tying aims for the model to fully let go of any mental knot, constantly feeling the pressure and the friction of the rope, and to enjoy shibari completely — physically, aesthetically and mentally.

I discovered shibari many years ago, and in my early days I was intensely a model, until I started out as a rigger.

Performance career

He has performed at festivals and clubs across Europe: Coven (Italy, 2017, 2018 and 2023), opening act for Hajime Kinoko at the Academy of Shibari in Rome (2018-2019), the Erotic Fair of Porto (2020), BoundCon (Germany) and the Erotic Museum of Barcelona. He headlined the Rope Circus at Sanctuary BDSM Festival in 2022 and 2023, and performed at Pastelería e Inklub (Madrid) for International BDSM Day in 2023. He has been the resident performer at Club Rosas Cinco for years.

Training

Over his years of learning he has had the chance to study with great riggers such as No-Shibari, BraXteR, Osaka Dan, Pedro Cordes, Akira Naka, Kazami Ranki, Hajime Kinoko, Tessin Doyama and Ren Yagami.

Rope Circus — Sanctuary BDSM Festival

Jordi Lucena has directed the Rope Circus, the shibari stage of Sanctuary BDSM Festival, in its three latest editions (2022, 2023 and 2025) — headliner in 2022 and 2023.

As a teacher

Jordi has taught shibari for years at Rosas Cinco —the first place in Spain where this ancient art began to be taught—. His beginner workshop is designed for those who want to start but don’t know how or where: safely and with solid fundamentals, guided by a rigger trained with masters such as Akira Naka, Hajime Kinoko or Pedro Cordes.

Jordi also runs a bondage workshop by and only for men —the first of its kind at Rosas Cinco—, for couples who want to bring something new to their relationship: safe restraint, harnesses and rope pieces, and the techniques to make the most of rope. He has also taken his workshops and classes across Spain and Europe.

Tailored classes and courses

Today Jordi gives private classes of shibari tailored to you —any level, in person, in Barcelona or wherever needed— and group courses adapted to your collective or event. Always taught by him in person.
